It is charged as percentage of the value of goods.

It levied on the basis of quantity.
|
Example: 5% of value. If value of a product is Rs.100 then the duty will work out to Rs.5
|
Example: Rs.8 per Kg Rs. 6 per meter or Rs.5 per litre etc. If you have purchase 6 meters of cotton fabric and rate of duty is Rs.6 per meter then duty work out is Rs.36
|
